The Foundations
Regulation, competence, vulnerability, sovereignty, sexuality and power, and belonging.
How do we help our sons develop these qualities without trying to control who they become?
An intimate 9-week online circle
What if raising our sons isn’t about teaching them who to be—but creating enough connection for them to discover who they are?
Nine live gatherings · Thanksgiving week off · Book purchased separately
Parenting in today’s world
Our sons are growing up surrounded by messages about masculinity, strength, success, emotion, sexuality, belonging, power, identity, and what it means to “be a man.”
And while we’re trying to guide them through all of this, we’re also bringing our own histories, fears, expectations, conditioning, and experiences into our parenting.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do isn’t find another parenting strategy. It’s become curious about ourselves.
What am I bringing into this moment?
What expectations am I placing on my son?
What am I afraid of?
Am I responding to the child in front of me—or to my own conditioning?
More than reading
We’ll use Dr. Shefali’s Raising Conscious Sons as the foundation for our conversations, but our work won’t stop with the pages of the book.
We’ll bring what we’re learning into our actual lives—our relationships, our reactions, our expectations, our homes, and most importantly, ourselves.
This is a space to read, reflect, ask questions, listen, connect, and grow alongside other parents who are navigating many of the same things.
You don’t need to be a perfect parent. You don’t need to have the answers. Come as you are.
Our nine-week journey
Each part of the circle moves us from foundational qualities to the world our sons inhabit—and finally toward integration in our own parenting.
Regulation, competence, vulnerability, sovereignty, sexuality and power, and belonging.
How do we help our sons develop these qualities without trying to control who they become?
Conscious masculinity, the energy and impulse of boys, emotional disconnection, anger, brotherhood, loneliness, gaming, screens, and belonging.
We’ll consider what our sons experience—and what those experiences bring up in us.
Resilience, apathy, sexuality, shame, identity, masculinity, father wounds, mother relationships, and integration.
We’ll bring everything we’ve explored back into our own parenting.
The goal isn’t to finish nine weeks with a formula for raising the perfect son. It’s to leave with greater awareness, curiosity, connection, and intention.
What your circle includes
This circle is intentionally limited to eight parents—not another Zoom meeting where everyone simply listens to someone talk.
Sessions will not be recorded. Parents should feel comfortable participating openly and authentically. If you miss a week, you’ll still have the reading, workbook reflections, and weekly practice.
About your host
While I deeply value the principles of conscious parenting, I also know what it’s like to be in the middle of actual parenting—when our children’s behaviors, emotions, choices, and struggles touch places inside of us we didn’t even know were there.
Through The Art of You Conscious Parenting Coaching, I want to create spaces where parents can slow down. Where we can become curious instead of judgmental. Where we don’t have to pretend to have it all figured out. And where we can learn from one another rather than trying to parent in isolation.
I believe some of our deepest growth happens in connection with others.
Come connect. Come reflect. Come grow in community.
Your investment
Because this is the first Raising Conscious Sons circle offered through The Art of You, enrollment is available at a special Founding Circle rate.
